So. You’ve shot and edited your video. Now what? How do you get your masterpiece out of your editing timeline and into the world?
Exporting video is one of the most complex tasks in the video world when you don’t know what you’re doing. There are literally tens of thousands of different combinations that play into how a video is rendered regardless of what format the video footage was originally shot in. Sure there are budget video editing software programs that take a one-size-fits-all approach, but how can you really make sure your video will be optimized for each viewing platform?
One man aims to clear the fog surrounding codecs, bit-rates, formats and more. His name is David Kong. He produced two videos that I believe make the exporting process so much easier to understand. Take a look.
This first video explains how codecs work which plays into the following video which goes more into the process of exporting.

I hope you learned a little bit about exporting video and how it all works. As always, Have a fantastic day!
